a pole 24 feet high has a shadow 8 feet long.a nearby pole is 72 feet high. how long is it's shadow?

The answer is 24. If you cross multiply witht he eight over top of the twenty-four, and the x (unknown length of shadow) over seventy-two and cross multiply (8 times 72, x times 24) then get 576 = 24x and divide twenty four on both sides, then that should give you the correct answer.
