The degree of a monomial is the highest power of a variable.

For A, the highest power is 5 ( a^5)

For B, the highest is 6 (a^6)

For C, the highest is 4 ( both a^4 and b^4)

For D, the highest is 2 ( all 3 variables have ^2)

B has the highest degree.
