from the equation, 1 mole of Mg reacts with 2 moles of HCL to give 1 mole of H2 gas.

so for no.of.moles of mg= weight /molecular weight

=54.49/24.3

=2.242 moles of mg

At STP 1 mole of gas occupies 22.4 L of volume

so 1 mole of Mg evolves 22.4 L of H2 or 22400 mL of H2

therefore, 2.242 moles of Mg=2.242*22400

=50220.8 mL of Hydrogen.

=50.228L of H2.
