How do you divide 400 by 10 to the third power

You calculate 10^3. Which is just 10 x 10 x 10 which is 1,000. Now do 400/ 1,000 which is .4. YOUR ANSWER IS .4. An easy way to do 400 divided by 1,000 is to just move the decimal 3 spots to the left and you still get .4
