Answer:

A standard hexagonal pencil is approximately 7.5 inches in lenght. This is 19 centimeters when converted.

The question says to the nearest inch. Therefore we have to approximate to to a whole number.

7.5, when rounded up to the nearest number, is 8 inches.

Hence, the answer is 8 inches or 19 centinmeters.
