Formative noun uses the smallest meaningful physical element used in the formation of words. Notional noun uses the most meaningful physical element used in the formation of words

a derivational affix, particularly one that determines the part of speech of the derived word, as -ness, in loudness, hardness, etc. hope i helped :) good luck
