Explain: how do muscles work in pairs to move the body?

So muscles work in pairs by one contacting and one relaxing. So if you were to bend your arm one of the muscles would relax and the other could contract

one muscle set flexes pulling the bone in one direction the other set relaxes controlling the speed.  they work together to control direction,speed,and strength of motion
