For this case, the first thing we must do is evaluate the function in each of the domain points.
 We have then:
 f (-1) = 2 (-1) + 1 = -2 + 1 = -1
 f (0) = 2 (0) + 1 = 0 + 1 = 1
 f (1) = 2 (1) + 1 = 2 + 1 = 3
 f (2) = 2 (2) + 1 = 4 + 1 = 5
 The range of the function will then be:
 R = {-1, 1, 3, 5}
